In Outlook go to Tools/Accounts.
Select Add account.
Select POP3 account.
Fill in the six boxes. Name, if you wish to have your name display on
outgoing emails. Entire email address (i.e. info@domain.com). Incoming/outgoing
mailservers (these are issued with account... usually mail.domain.com for both,
where 'domain' is your domain name, or just the domain name with no prefix).
User name is entire email address (i.e. info@domain.com), and password is issued
with your account.
Try 'test account' to verify account is sending & receiving correctly.
Finish account setup.
Other Windows Operating Systems
In Outlook go to Tools/Accounts/Add/Mail.
Enter a descriptive name, and your account name.
Enter mail.domain.com as both the incoming & outgoing server, where
"domain.com" is your domain name.
Enter your account name and password as supplied. Your account name is your
entire email address (i.e. user@domain.com).
Select appropriate connection (i.e. dialup or via your network).
Hit "finish".
To use your account as the outbound mail account, hit "Set As Default" in the
Tools/Accounts menu. |
